Recently, due to the heavy caseload of detainees and unaccompanied minors in removal proceedings at the Immigration Court in Baltimore Maryland, several judges dockets have been shifted. Judge Dornell is currently assigned to handle all juvenile cases and therefore most individual and master hearings set before Judge Dornell are in the process of being transitioned to either Judge Williams or Judge Crosland’s dockets. Judge Kessler has been assignedto the detained docket and her cases are also being shifted to Judge Williams and Judge Crosland’s dockets. These changes are causing many of our clients to experience significant delays in having their cases heard. Therefore, we ask for your patience as the court goes through this transition period.
